The G-100 Coalition has called for greater unity among opposition parties ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, as political leaders continue discussions on how to coordinate their efforts against President Bola Tinubu.

The coalition is reportedly working towards bringing opposition groups together to strengthen cooperation ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The discussions have raised the possibility of opposition parties agreeing on a common presidential candidate, although the process and final outcome remain uncertain.

Several political parties, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and other opposition groups, have featured in discussions about possible cooperation.

The move comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, with parties considering different strategies for contesting the presidency.

However, whether the opposition parties will eventually agree on a single candidate remains to be seen.
