Atiku Accuses Tinubu of Excessive Borrowing, Calls His Government Most Ruinous

Atiku described Tinubu as someone who “borrows like a shark” and accused his administration of presiding over what he called one of the most ruinous governments Nigeria has experienced.

In a statement issued through his campaign team, Atiku questioned the continued increase in public borrowing despite government claims of rising revenue and economic improvement.

He also criticised the administration over the removal of fuel subsidy and what he described as rising costs of food, transportation, electricity, education and housing.

Atiku further raised concerns about insecurity and other challenges facing Nigerians, arguing that government economic indicators should be reflected in improved living conditions for ordinary citizens.

His comments form part of his broader criticism of the Tinubu administration as the country moves toward the 2027 general elections.
